Chariton Valley Youth Leadership Trip to Washington, D.C.
Chariton Valley is excited to sponsor an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. in June for one outstanding high school junior nominated by their school counselor!
Eligibility
- Must be a junior and under 18 at the time of the trip.
- Parents/guardians must have Chariton Valley Telephone service.
- Must rank in the top 25% of their class (exceptions may apply).
- Students whose parents are Chariton Valley employees or Board members are not eligible.
About the Experience
The selected student will join peers from across the country to explore Washington, D.C., visit historic landmarks, and learn about government and public policy—an opportunity to inspire future community leaders.
How to Apply
- Eligible juniors should contact their school counselor.
- Each counselor may nominate one student who demonstrates leadership.
- Nominees will interview with a Chariton Valley committee.
- One student will be chosen for the trip, with all travel, lodging, and meals covered.
