MACON, MO – January 26, 2024 – Chariton Valley Telephone Cooperative announced today Owen Wyatt, son of Don and Meagan Wyatt of Salisbury, was selected for the company-sponsored, all-expenses paid trip to Washington D.C.
“I am looking forward to my trip to Washington D.C. because I get to see all the famous monuments, see how the government works, and learn more about the communications industry. It will be a great experience I will never forget!” stated Owen.
Owen will represent Chariton Valley Telephone Cooperative at our nation’s capital June 3 – June 7 and be joined by more than 100 other high school juniors from across the United States.
Owen will see the nation’s capital and receive a first-hand look at the legislative and governmental processes. He will network with peers from other rural communities and visit some of the country’s most historic sites and monuments, including the Lincoln Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, the Smithsonian Museum and more.
