BRUNSWICK, MO — July 14, 2026 — Chariton Valley surprised those attending the Brunswick Chamber After Hours event with an announcement of a $5,000 donation to the Brunswick Public Library to support its efforts to expand opportunities for residents of all ages and enhance its role as a community gathering place.
Inspired by the needs identified in the library’s grant proposal and the committee’s dedication to expanding opportunities for residents, Chariton Valley elected to provide funding for the project after the library was not selected for a Foundation for Rural Service grant. The donation reflects Chariton Valley’s commitment to investing in initiatives that strengthen rural communities and improve quality of life for residents.

We believe this project will help expand opportunities for residents while strengthening the library’s place at the heart of the Brunswick community for years to come.”
Planned improvements include updated gathering spaces, expanded technology access, educational programming, and resources designed to strengthen the library’s role as a cornerstone of the Brunswick community.
