MACON, MO – February 3, 2025 – Chariton Valley donated $2000 to the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association® Chapter 4-7 (CVMA®4-7) in support of the association’s mission ‘Vets Helping Vets’! Members of the CVMA®4-7 are veterans of combat and owners of motorcycles with a minimum of 500ccs.
“We are a family friendly association of veterans,” stated Jim Walker, CVMA®4-7 Public Relations Officer. “The sole purpose of the association is to help veterans in need.”
According to Walker, some of the more recent activities they have been involved with include aiding a veteran who lost his home in a fire, helping a veteran who was paralyzed in a vehicular crash and working with an area funeral home to have the remains of a veteran interred at Jacksonville Veterans Cemetery. They also visited nearly 200 veterans at area nursing homes at Christmas bringing gifts and spending time with them. “The only way to fulfill our motto ‘Vets Helping Vets’ is with generous donations from organizations such as Chariton Valley!” concluded Walker.
