FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

MACON, MO – February 22, 2023 – Chariton Valley (CV) announced today Liberty Hoerr, daughter of Joe and Betsy Hoerr of Hale, was selected for the company-sponsored, all-expenses paid trip to Washington D.C.

“I am very excited to see the monuments and other sights in D.C. It will be exciting to see and learn about our national government,” exclaimed Liberty after finding out she had been chosen.

Liberty will represent Chariton Valley at our nation’s capital May 31 – June 4 and will be joined by more than 100 other high school juniors from across the United States.

Liberty will see the nation’s capital and receive a first-hand look at the legislative and governmental processes. She will network with peers from other rural communities and visit some of the country’s most historic sites and monuments, including the Lincoln Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, the Smithsonian Museum and more.

“We are proud to provide this opportunity each year to local students and look forward to seeing how they take what they’ve learned to better and strengthen our communities. Congratulations, Liberty!” said Ryan Johnson, Chariton Valley’s Interim President and Chief Executive Officer.
