MACON, MO – May 28, 2025 – Chariton Valley welcomed over 100 attendees today at the Macon Expo Center for a powerful and practical skills-based training session on human trafficking, led by Dan Nash, Co-owner of the Human Trafficking Training Center and retired Missouri State Trooper. Meghan Connors also provided insight on HT Training and Advocacy. The session was designed to equip attendees with tools to identify victims and pursue traffickers.
With an estimated 150,000 new escort ads posted online daily in the U.S. and 75% of underage victims reporting online exploitation, the internet has become the primary platform for trafficking recruitment and abuse.
