SmartTown provides a secure and reliable connection during emergencies when traditional communication methods like cell service or radio communication may be limited or unreliable.
The Randolph County Ambulance District, the first emergency unit introduced to SmartTown, has been utilizing it for a couple of months. “It’s working flawlessly,” stated Randolph County Ambulance District Superintendent Clay Joiner. “Super innovative and a cleaver solution to an ongoing problem!” he added.
Chariton Valley plans to extend SmartTown to all volunteer firefighters and first responders in the communities it serves. This initiative aims to enhance communication for vital emergency services, benefiting Chariton Valley customers during critical times when every minute and second counts.
