PROFILE:
Charlotte Miller has resided in the Chariton Valley service area for 52 years. She currently serves as Treasurer of the Chariton Valley Board of Directors and has completed the NTCA Director Core Curriculum certification. She is the Chairman of the Finance Committee, a member of the Member and Employee Relations Committee, and the Chairman of Chariton Valley Broadband, LLC. She is married to Lee, and they have three children and seven grandchildren. Charlotte is a retired school teacher. Charlotte is a member of the local PEO Chapter and is a member at large of Beta Sigma Phi. She is an active member of the Hale Baptist Church and currently serves as the treasurer and song leader. She is involved and supports local school and community activities.
Message to the Members:
It has been my privilege to serve you as a board member. As a member of the board, I do my best to make good, informed decisions. I have been a strong supporter of seeing that fiber was available to every member of our cooperative and am thrilled that through the diligent work of everyone at Chariton Valley that is a reality. Every member in our 18 exchanges has access to fiber broadband service! As each of you know, availability of fast and dependable internet is a requirement for the world we live in today – and going forward. Chariton Valley continues to provide excellent service at an affordable price, as we continue to extend fiber to other areas, building a strong network of dependable service to our neighboring communities. I have enjoyed this opportunity to serve you on the board and would very much appreciate your vote and support to continue.
Diane Kerns

PROFILE:
Diane Kerns has lived in the Chariton Valley service area for the past 55 years. She survives her husband Wendal (deceased) and has four children, nine grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. She is currently a part time parent educator. She is a retired educator of Hale school and a University of Missouri Human Development Specialist. Diane helped form the Livingston County 4-H Foundation and has served as Secretary for 20 years. She is the current Treasurer for the Hale Library and Museum, the current local regent for Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), member and former board chairman of the Hale United Methodist Church. She is also a former chairman of the University of Missouri extension council, a 4-H leader for 53 years, and former township clerk.
Why do you think you would be a good board member?
I have a lot of experience working as a team member in many organizations and on various projects throughout my community. I work and communicate well with others. I am friendly and efficient in what is asked of me.
Message to the Members:
Chariton Valley has progressed from overhead telephone lines to underground fiber optics, keeping up with modern technology. It is my hope to continue this progress into the next century. I would appreciate your vote in the upcoming board of director election.
