Message to the Members:

I’m Gary Scheiderer. Incumbent Director, Candidate for the South Central Area. My qualifications to continue serving as Director is the knowledge I’ve gained serving on the CVTC board for the past nine years, with the last three as President. I’ve also been in the banking industry for 22 years as a loan officer, so I understand financial statements, making a budget and planning.

I’ve served on several boards; Salisbury Board of Public Works, Dulany Memorial Library Board, and Salisbury Chamber of Commerce. And I’ve served as President on all three boards.

I would like to thank everyone who has voted for me in past elections and would appreciate your support again. I ask everyone else to consider voting for me because being the most tenured director, I’ve seen several changes and I feel my knowledge and history will help the cooperative continue to grow.

I would appreciate the opportunity to see some of the projects we’ve started being finished and completed, to continue to work on ongoing projects, and our promise of ‘keeping you connected’.

If re-elected, I will continue to do my best to ensure that Chariton Valley Telephone continues to grow and still provide the excellent service that it’s known for.

Thank you.

Message to the Members:

My name is Les Dotson and I’m from Salisbury. As a candidate for the Board of Directors for Chariton Valley Telephone, I’d like to thank you for taking the time to watch this video.

Throughout my adult life, I have been involved in leadership and management positions in a variety of careers. Those careers have given me lots of experience and broadened my knowledge base of several things, including fundamental business practices in technology.

I’m extremely aware of the need to maintain a technological edge and I was made most aware of that during my tenure as the first director of the Chariton County 911 Service. During my 10+ years at that job, I was able to see how new technology could improve the emergency services provided to the residents of Chariton County.

I have been a customer of Chariton Valley for over 40 years. And during that time, it’s been interesting to see the company grow and evolve. Chariton Valley’s initiative to expand broadband internet access has been a significant accomplishment and I’m excited to see what’s coming next. Because of that, I would like to be a part of the board that makes those decisions and be a part of those decision processes in the future.

I feel that my varied work experience with technology and business, coupled with my common sense approach to problem solving could be an asset to me if I serve on the board. I would appreciate your vote before the annual meeting in October, and again, I thank you for this opportunity to visit and for you to watch this video.

Thank you.
