How To Program Your Remote Control
Each remote control must be programmed with a 4-digit code corresponding to the brand of television in use. This was done for you at the time of installation, but must be done again whenever TVs are replaced.There are two method available. The search method and the manual method. They are both listed below.
The Search Method:
- Switch on your TV.
- Then press the [TV] button once.
- Press and hold the [SHIFT] until the red light under the device key blinks twice.
- Press 9 9 1 (the red light will blink twice.)
- Aim the remote control at your device and press [CH+] or [CH-] repeatedly until the TV turns off.
- Press the [POWER] button to turn your TV back on.
- Press the [SHIFT] button to store the code for your TV.
- Now to have the volume control set for the TV, Press the [TV] button.
- Press and hold the [SHIFT] button. (the red light will blink twice.)
- Press 9 9 3
- Press the [TV] button. (the red light will blink twice.)
- Your device is now programmed to operate your TV.
The Manual Method:
- Identify the brand of television that you are using; e.g., Sony, Magnavox, etc.
- Find the TV brand in the PDF Document below, and write down the code listed first.
- Turn on your television.
- Press the TV button once.
- Press and hold the SHIFT button until it blinks twice, and then release it.
- Enter the four-digit code for your TV. Result: The red light on the remote control will blink twice.
- Verify that the remote control works with the TV by pointing at the TV and pressing the POWER button. Result: The TV will turn off.
- If your TV does not turn off, repeat this procedure, trying each code for your brand until you find one that works.
