The purpose of this floating bar is to provide content related to the document, but separate from the main body. For instance, on the news page, this area would probably contain clickable headlines from NORML news, updated at least daily.
Hello. This is a draft of the template for the Missourians for Medical Marijuana website. There is no real content, as having content requires someone to generate it. Think of it as "how the website could look," or perhaps more accurately "the product of how the website development has progressed."
Why is there latin text on the website? Simple! Lorem Ipsum is a standard latin text used for some time by typesetters and webmasters to "fill in the gaps" when laying out a page. It is here to show you how things may look when content is added to the page.
A note: the tab on top left corner of screen may seem redundant upon viewing the title page, but on a page with, say, "News" as the title, the tab becomes useful as a reference to the page's affiliations. It can be made clickable to return to the home page (standardized throughout the site).
In addition to web forums (moderatable or private) and optionally chat, the hosting service that I picked out will provide mySQL support, which makes managing multiple databases possible. Organization members will be provided with a member@domainname.org email address.
At the time of writing this, missourimedical.org and missouricannabis.org were available. These seem like aptly suited, potentially saleable (in the future) domain names.
